Follow Webster's.

If not listed, when -bound means confined, make one word.

If it means en route, hyphenate before noun; otherwise make two words:

confined

Africa-bound team
moon-bound rocket
vacation-bound boys
homeward-bound boys
the team, Africa bound,
... is moon bound
... are vacation bound
